STEELHEAD
Washington steelhead fishing is known to be some of the finest fishing in the nation. Not only are these fish a great challenge and exciting fight, they are great to eat too! This is why anglers will be found on the river in the wind, rain, snow and freezing conditions just to get a chance at one of these “steelies”. Once you set the hook on one of these fish, the only thing you will hear is the line screaming off the reel with your fish on the other end tearing down stream. We commonly fish for these silver bullets on the Cowlitz, Snohomish, and Skykomish rivers. Steelhead are in the rivers no matter the time of year.
SALMON
Another fish that is famous in the northwest are Salmon. With both Kings and Silvers in our waters, you do not need to make a choice. They are an awesome fight and delicious to eat. Washington salmon weigh in the 12 -35 pound range. Some of the rivers you will find us in search of these fish are the Cowlitz, Chehalis, Satsop, Humptulips and the Wynoochee.
STURGEON
Sturgeon fishing is year round. You will find these prehistoric fish, also known as “diamond back”, up and down the Columbia River. There are two kinds of Sturgeon, the oversized and the keepers. Oversized Sturgeon are some of the toughest fights you will ever find. These older, larger beasts put up a fight that will fill you with adrenaline. There is nothing better than finally bringing one of these monsters to the surface. They can range from 5’ to 10’ in length. Keeper Sturgeon rarely disappoint and can prove to be action packed. Keepers range from 4’ to 5’ in length. And did I mention how great they are to eat!?
